The Mineral County STEM Network will host the 6th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Festival for students and parents. WVU Extension Service, Potomac State and other partners plan and host the event which will be held March 24 noon to 4 p.m. on WVU's Potomac State campus in Keyser.

The Mineral County STEM Festival is modeled after the USA Science and Engineering Festival and Expo held in Washington, D.C. Last year, the Mineral County STEM Festival attracted more than 1,000 students/families from across the three-state region.

WVU colleges and units are invited to participate by providing hands-on STEM activities that stimulate interest and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. The Festival planning committee is seeking proposals for presentations/activities that appeal to all levels: elementary, middle and high school. If you are interested in submitting a proposal, submit it online using the form on the Mineral STEM website by Feb.16.

If you have questions about proposal submissions, contact Andrea Schaefer (agschafer@mail.wvu.edu) or Margaret Miltenberger (m.miltenberger@mail.wvu.edu).
