PEIA announces public hearings on proposed premium structure changes for FY19 financial plan

The Governor has requested the Public Employees Insurance Agency Finance Board to consider potential changes to the premium structure of its FY19 financial plan.

Under the proposal, the premium structure for two spouses who both are public employees and covered by PEIA (with one spouse being covered as a dependent) would be based on average salary income instead of total family income. This means the total of both spouses’ salaries would be added together and divided by two to determine their salary index code.

The handout to be discussed during these PEIA Expedited Public Hearings has been posted on the PEIA website as a PDF.
