Our last workshop this term is coming up. It will focus on traditional fiddle tunes and styles from the Appalachian region. The music will be taught by ear, keeping with the oral tradition, but sheet music can be provided upon request. The Community Music Program workshop is open to intermediate level string players, ages 10-adult. Some knowledge of how to play the instrument is required, but Oldtime experience is not. The final one-evening workshop happens Wednesday (Dec. 6) from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., in the Creative Arts Center. For more information and registration call 304.293.6946.
