Google Doc email was scam aimed at accessing your accounts

A widespread Google Docs email scam on Wednesday was aimed at giving hackers access to your accounts. It was cleverly designed and tried to get you to authorize access as you would anytime you download a new app.

The email you may receive looks like a legitimate Google Docs share from someone you know. DO NOT click on the Open in Docs link if you receive this message.

If you opened this email and denied authorization, you don’t need to do anything. If you approved authorization, however, please go to this page for instructions from Information Technology Services on how to fix your account bit.
