Longtime public interest lawyer Cathy McConnell and Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Joanna Tabit, who passed away in 2023, will receive the 2024 College of Law Justitia Officium Awards posthumously at the College of Law graduation ceremony on Friday (May 10).

Hosted by the WVU Health Sciences Office of Interprofessional Education, this interactive event aims to deepen the understanding of and help improve approaches to serving individuals facing poverty and homelessness from 8:30 a.m. to noon Monday, May 20, at the Health Sciences Center.

The first three modules of the new WVU Research Administration Portal — Grants, Agreements and Conflict of Interest — are expected to go live in January 2025. These modules are integrated to help decrease duplicative data entry, expedite approval time and improve transparency of submission status.

Track Team  

The track and field team completed the regular outdoor season Saturday (May 4) as host of the WVU Last Chance Meet at the Track and Field Complex at Mylan Park. Redshirt senior Mikenna Vanderheyden closed out the meet with a first place finish in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase.
