The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU is seeking volunteer instructors and presenters for its fall 2024 term, which runs Sept. 16 through Nov. 23.

Effective July 1, any employee who has not used all available floating holiday hours through Applaud will forfeit those hours. The hours will be removed from the employee’s available floating holiday balance in the system.
Crews will mill and repave Harding Avenue, Country Club Drive, portions of Oakland Street and University Avenue, and various surrounding alleyways and smaller streets primarily northeast of University Avenue from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday (June 7).
There will be a brief, intermittent disruption to internet connectivity and technology services on all WVU campuses between 3 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Monday (June 10). Information Technology Services is testing new network security software that must be installed by June 30 and needed to add another testing day to ensure that deadline is met.
Thanks to a grant from the Les Paul Foundation, music business and industry students will continue their outreach to the community. Students will use the funds to produce a professional recording of the Westwood Middle School steel drum band and educate the young musicians about careers in the music industry, while emphasizing Paul’s involvement in the advancement of both music recordings and careers.
Shatika Jones, a new faith community nurse who received training from the School of Nursing, is working with West Logan Church to build a nurse-led access to care point within her community.
