Haley Cothern says she didn’t discover a career in public health, the profession found her. Now, the two-time School of Public Health graduate has been appointed as an administrative fellow at WVU Medicine, setting her on a path to affect health care across West Virginia and the region.
The innovative program is open to physicians who have successfully completed their training in internal medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine/pediatrics.
Physics and Astronomy graduate student Reshma Anna-Thomas grew up in the Indian state of Kerala and obtained a master’s degree in integrated physics from Pondicherry University before moving to West Virginia. She came to WVU to pursue her passion — radio astronomy — and she’s now in the fifth year of her doctoral program.
