Zhi Gu “Patrick” Li, a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, recently won the Best Student Poster Presentation award at the 2024 Geospace Environment Modeling annual meeting in Fort Collins, Colorado. Li’s achievement marks the second time since 2017 that a WVU student has won this award, positioning WVU as the institution with the second-highest number of winners in the inner magnetosphere category, just behind Boston University.
