The Department of History has been selected to host Anna Fenyvesi, a Fulbright Research Scholar from Hungary who will study the heritage of Appalachian Hungarians, mostly those who settled in the region from 1880 until 1924.

Trevor Smith With Multicellular Robot Loopy  

Supported by a National Science Foundation award, WVU roboticists are working on an alternative path to robot autonomy with Loopy, a “multicellular robot” composed of a ring of individual, interconnected robot cells. They said they believe Loopy can learn to use its body to mark the boundary of a contaminated area, such as the site of an oil or toxin spill.

Striped Milan Puskar Stadium  

WVU will host No. 8 Penn State before an overflow crowd inside a striped Milan Puskar Stadium at noon Saturday (Aug. 31). The Fox “Big Noon Kickoff” crew is already in town setting up at Almost Heaven Village in preparation for its live show beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. Fans wanting to participate in the show can enter the space starting at 9 a.m.
