Colleges
Tarek Farhat, assistant professor of chemistry, received a second grant from the NASA West Virginia Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research to study an instrument that can detect salts and minerals in soil.
Eighty-two years ago, Mannon Gallegly finished his own studies and began his tomato-creating journey soon after. His latest variety is “Mannon's Majesty.”
The workshops and mini-workshop series on soft skills will be held in person at WVU and on Zoom from July 17-19.
“Too often, when teachers get ‘good’ at their craft, they leave the classroom and become administrators,” according to math coach Joanna Burt-Kinderman. “It’s currently the only way to advance in your education career. We’re here to change that.”
The program is a collaboration among the WVU College of Law Land Use and Sustainable Development Law Clinic, Downstream Strategies and the Mon Forest Town Partnership, with the support of the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation.
