The men and women's swimming and diving teams were named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Associations of America for their success in the classroom during the 2016 fall semester.

Tim Dyer donated a total of $25,000 to completing an indoor practice facility. “Playing golf for WVU is one of my best memories. It means a lot to have played the sport I love while representing my home state and school I grew up supporting,” said Dyer.
The women's basketball team hosts WVU Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night as it takes on Texas Tech at 7 p.m. today (Jan. 25) at the Coliseum. All WVU faculty/staff will receive free admission with a valid WVU ID. Additional tickets are just $5 for adults, $3 for youth, and $2 a piece for groups of 10 or more.
Following a two-win weekend, senior Jacob A. Smith of the WVU wrestling team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
The votes are in and men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins has advanced to Round 2 in the Infiiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge.
The conference recognizes all student-athletes at its member institutions during each semester with a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
