The West Virginia University Mountaineer Athletic Club has announced dates for the 2017 Coaches Caravan presented by United Bank, the Charleston Scholarship Dinner presented by Northeast Natural Energy and the WVU Classic at Berry Hills Country Club and Pete Dye Golf Club presented by Lumos Networks.

G. Robert “Bob” Nugent, M.D., one of the nation’s most respected neurosurgeons and a former physician for West Virginia University’s football team, spent 43 seasons tending to the medical needs of Mountaineer football players and was one of the first neurosurgeons to treat patients in what was then the new University Hospital, now the WVU Health Sciences Center.
In its second year under coach Reed Sunahara, the West Virginia University volleyball team had an exciting season on the court and in the classroom. Interest in the program is growing, as is the support from our generous donors and fans.
Loyal fans of West Virginia University Men’s Basketball Coach Bob Huggins will be happy to know that their votes have advanced Coach Huggins to Round 3 in the Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge.
