Mountaineers are everywhere, but some of them have stayed here in Morgantown, working as faculty and staff at WVU. Amber Brugnoli, Damien Clement, Shirley Robinson and Nic Zegre all rely on their WVU backgrounds to assist international students, Honors students and undergraduates in becoming successful in their college careers and in building careers of their own so they can develop their own stories.

Undergraduate students who exemplify the values and ideals taught by Martin Luther King Jr. are invited to apply for the scholarship by Dec. 13. The award recognizes active interest and involvement in areas of social justice, civil rights and world peace.
The World Languages Program in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences offers minors in Spanish, French, Chinese and Arabic. Students in all majors at WVU can enroll in courses focused on these languages.
Dr. Sally Hodder, director of the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute, University associate vice president for clinical and translational science and Chancellor’s Preeminent Scholar Chair, was elected to the National Academy of Medicine for her accomplishments as an infectious diseases physician and researcher. She is the first person from WVU to be chosen for the National Academy of Medicine.
Brandy Cloud, an active-duty officer in the U.S. Public Health Service who recently completed the School of Nursing’s Post-MSN Certificate Program for Psychiatric Mental Health, aims to provide both medical and psychiatric care for immigrants as part of the ICE Health Service Corps.
