2017 Hall of Fame class  

Eight outstanding contributors to Mountaineer athletics make up the 27th class of honorees in the West Virginia University Sports Hall of Fame, announced today by Director of Athletics Shane Lyons.

Kearns wvu  

Four West Virginia University baseball players have been named to the Big 12 Conference All-Tournament Team, as senior Jackson Cramer, sophomores Darius Hill and Braden Zarbnisky and freshman Isaiah Kearns were recognized.

WVU vs. Kentucky  

For the first time since 1970, and just the third time in school history, the West Virginia University men’s basketball team will host Kentucky in Morgantown during the 2017-18 season.

Amy Cashin and Jillian Forsey  

Amy Cashin and Jillian Forsey of the West Virginia University track and field and cross country teams were named to the 2016-17 Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-District Team on Thursday, as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Kadeisha Buchanan and Nikki Izzo-Brown  

The women’s soccer team was well-represented at the 71st Annual Victory Awards Dinner on May 21, as four-time All-American and Hermann Trophy Award winner Kadeisha Buchanan and coach Nikki Izzo-Brown were awarded the Hardman Amateur Athlete of the Year and Furfari College Coach of the Year awards, respectively.
