Rylee Foster  

Rising West Virginia University sophomore goalkeeper Rylee Foster has been named to Canada Soccer’s U-20 Women’s National Team and will compete at the Australian Three Nations Tournament, July 6-8, in Canberra, Australia. The Canadians will face the United States on July 6 and Australia on July 8.

For the first time in program history, the West Virginia University women’s soccer team will be represented at The ESPYs, as five-time All-American Kadeisha Buchanan is a nominee for the Best Female College Athlete.

Three current Mountaineers and one incoming freshman will represent the West Virginia University rifle team at the 2017 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship Rifle/Pistol, held June 24-28, at the Schießsportzentrum in Suhl, Germany.

The West Virginia University Athletic Communications Office was honored earlier this month in Orlando, Florida, at the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Workshop, capturing nine awards for Excellence in Publications, including five best in the nation awards. The nine publications awards WVU received from CoSIDA rank as the second-most earned among Division I schools and most in the Big 12 Conference.

West Virginia University football coach Dana Holgorsen has announced that redshirt junior quarterback Will Grier has been cleared by the NCAA to begin playing at the start of the 2017 season.
