The swimming and diving teams officially open the 2017-18 regular season when the Mountaineers host the West Virginia State Games today through Saturday (Oct. 6-7) at the WVU Natatorium.

Fans will get their first look at the 2018 West Virginia University baseball team this weekend, when WVU hosts Marshall today (Oct. 6) and the annual Alumni Game on Saturday (Oct. 7).
West Virginia's Homecoming football game against Texas Tech Oct. 14 at Milan Puskar Stadium at noon is officially sold out. The Texas Tech game, presented by WVU Medicine, is being designated WVU's Stripe the Stadium game.

The gymnastics team participated in the 2017 Walk For Wishes, a nationwide Make-A-Wish fundraiser that celebrates the wishes already granted and raises funds for future wishes. The squad gathered at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Amphitheater on Saturday morning (Sept. 30) for the 5k walk. While the Mountaineers put in the steps at the event, the hard work was completed in the weeks leading up to the walk, as the team raised $1,105 for the cause, the seventh-best showing for a participating fundraising team.
