The WVU Curiosity Series kicks off Sept. 5 with a visiting artist lecture by Jay Ryan. Ryan’s lecture will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 5 in Bloch Hall, Creative Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. A reception will be held in the CAC lobby following Ryan’s lecture.
WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital will hold a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center atrium. Those who donate will receive a voucher for two outfield grandstand tickets for any Pittsburgh Pirates regular season home game Sunday through Friday.
Join us for the first meeting of the Graduate and Professional Student Senate Sept. 3 from 5 - 6 p.m. in the Cathedral Room of the Mountainlair. We will introduce the senate, discuss goals for the year and start to plan our first Brew Pub.
Take a trip to the WVU Planetarium (located at the top of White Hall on the downtown campus) for a showing of the children's show Secrets of Gravity at 6 p.m. and Earth Moon Sun at 7 p.m. today (Aug. 30).
The Humanities Center will host an Appalshop presentation by Ben Fink & Friends Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Milano Reading Room of the Downtown Campus Library.
