On Nov. 26, Gov. Jim Justice issued a proclamation declaring an official half-day holiday on Wednesday (Nov. 27) for state employees. Since WVU already observed Nov. 27 as a holiday, the University modified its holiday calendar to include an additional 3.75 hour “floating” holiday (pro-rated by FTE) for leave-eligible employees, effective Dec. 2.

Molly Aderholt, an attorney with Spilman Thomas & Battle PLLC in Wheeling and a member of the Ohio County Board of Education, said her fondness for the Mountain State and University began to grow soon after meeting her classmates and law instructors nearly 25 years ago.
The Winter Wellness program will offer employees and their immediate families, University affiliates and alumni free access to the Student Rec Center from Thursday, Jan. 2, through Saturday, Jan. 11. Participants can enjoy the pool, weight room, cardio equipment, group fitness classes and more.
