Events
WVU departments and units that plan to hire student workers or Federal Work-Study students for fall positions are invited to participate. The first fair — open only to hiring WVU units — will be held Thursday (Aug. 21) and the second fair — open to WVU and local employers — will be held Aug. 27. Both fairs will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Mountainlair, Vandalia Lounge.
To help bring everyone together in a fun atmosphere, faculty, staff and families are invited to join our students for Mountaineer Movie Night — a new Welcome Week event sponsored by Coca-Cola — that is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 19) at Milan Puskar Stadium.
Hosted by the Provost Search Committee, your input will help Greenwood Asher & Associates, a full-service search firm assisting the University in this search, to recruit and vet candidates based on the qualifications and expectations outlined during these discussions.
The ADVANCE Center, in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Center, will host a Generative AI in Teaching and Learning community for faculty, instructors and graduate teaching assistants across all WVU campuses. Attendees will explore generative AI, and its ethical use and impact on student creativity and critical thinking.
The University community is invited to stop by an open house event to meet the Office of Graduate Education and Life team and learn about available resources while enjoying light refreshments from 1-4:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 19) in Stewart Hall, B20 Suite.
