Peace tree  

The Native American Studies Program will hold its annual ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at the WVU Peace Tree, and Guest of Honor Kody Grant will present “Trading Jackets: Historical Perspectives to Modern Connections” at 5 p.m. in the Mountainlair, Gluck Theatre.

School of Nursing  

The School of Nursing will provide information on the nationally ranked BSN program — offered in Morgantown, Beckley and Keyser — beginning at 6 p.m. Nov. 20 on Zoom.

The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute will initiate first-in-the-world clinical research studies thanks to a $2 million supplemental appropriation approved during a recent special session of the West Virginia Legislature. Dr. Ali Rezai, executive chair of the RNI, and WVU President Gordon Gee welcomed Gov. Jim Justice, state lawmakers, and WVU academic and Health System leaders to campus Monday (Oct. 28) to make the official announcement.

The Nov. 9 Big 12 Conference football game for WVU against Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, will be televised at noon on FS1.

Rowing  

The rowing team opened its fall season at the 54th annual Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Highlighting the event for WVU was the Women's Collegiate Double, which garnered a first-place finish behind the efforts of junior Nikolina Djordjevic and senior Ksenia Kaludjerovic.
