The Health Sciences & Technology Academy has partnered with the Bridge Initiative for Science and Technology Policy and leaders and communicators at WVU to provide new experiential learning opportunities through a Network Challenge grant from the Public Interest Technology University Network.

Medical students on the School of Medicine Eastern Campus are using manikins and mock patients to learn crucial patient-care skills in a controlled environment, thanks to upgrades to the simulation center.
Members of the WVU Medicine Emergency Preparedness Team and the WVU Critical Care and Trauma Institute recently had the opportunity to participate in moulage training. Moulage is the art and science of simulating injuries, wounds and/or illnesses with special effects makeup.
The ceremony was held at the Church McKee Arts Center on Oct. 3 for sophomore students who are formally entering their nursing education.
