The WVU community is invited to tour the Center’s new location and meet its staff while enjoying refreshments and participating in fun activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 28) in Field Hall, Room 3217.
The training is designed to help attendees better understand the process of recovery, confront stigma related to addiction and utilize appropriate language when discussing substance use and eating disorders.
University graduates will be honored during Commencement Weekend, May 16-18. Graduates planning to participate in Commencement exercises must do two things — apply to graduate through the Office of the University Registrar in STAR, and register for ceremony participation with their school or college.
Dr. Patrice Harris, vice-chair of the WVU Board of Governors and chair of the WVU Presidential Search Committee, is a proud University graduate who says the deep connections she and others have to West Virginia’s University are “like no other.”
To ensure proper communication during an emergency, West Virginia University will conduct a test of the WVU Alert system at 1 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 29) on the Morgantown, Keyser and Beckley campuses.
