The WVU community is invited to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Brick, endowed chair and professor in the Department of Neurology, from 4-6 p.m. Monday (Jan. 29) at the Health Sciences Center Pylons. Brick also serves as the associate dean of rural outreach.

Bernadette Melnyk, vice president for health promotion and chief wellness officer for The Ohio State University, will present “Using Best Evidence to Improve Rural Population Health and Well-Being: A Call to Action” at the School of Nursing Kandzari Lectureship April 25 in the Okey Patteson Auditorium.
A limited number of free appointments will be available for children ages 1 to 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb 2. Appointments include exams, oral health education and radiographs as needed.
Faculty and staff who practice mindfulness and would like to expand their knowledge are invited to participate in this intermediate six-session series beginning Feb. 1.
WVU Medicine Medical Weight Management and the Finding Wellness Program have partnered to launch a new comprehensive obesity treatment program available to WVU Medicine employees and covered family members. Participants must be 18 or older and have a Body Mass Index of 40 or more.
The Constance Ball Jordan Memorial Nursing Scholarship, established by alumna Kathy Lyons, will be awarded to undergraduate nursing students from West Virginia and Garrett County, Maryland, who demonstrate financial need.
