The Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources invites equestrians and community members to get into the holiday spirit at the Ugly Christmas Sweater Horse Show at 9 a.m. Dec. 7 at the J.W. Ruby Research, Education and Outreach Center in Reedsville.

Joseph Lupo, professor of art in the School of Art and Design, recently received Southern Graphics Council International’s Excellence in Teaching Printmaking award and was named the West Virginia Art Education Association Higher Education Art Educator of the Year.
Faith Marino, a senior in the Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, struggled to adjust to college her freshman year. And now, upon graduation in the spring, she has her sights set on law school and pursuing a career in intellectual property law.
Cindy Hart was recently named assistant dean of online programs for the College of Creative Arts and Media. In this role, she will continue to prioritize the creation of online courses that provide exceptional education with flexibility for both traditional and nontraditional students.
Established in 2017, the Charles I. "Skip" and Nancy J. Homan Scholarship focuses on STEM-related areas, with first preference going to students majoring in civil engineering.
WV Healthy Schools in Action, a partnership between the College of Applied Human Sciences and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is setting new standards for school wellness in the Mountain State. Through this five-year initiative, West Virginia was selected as one of 20 states to receive CDC funding, with initial efforts focused on transforming wellness practices in Mercer County.
