A recent study co-authored by Bernard Schreurs, Ph.D., professor at the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, and his colleagues studied the changes in the properties of neurons and membranes as a response to learning.

The 2018 Research Induction Ceremony will be held Sept. 14 at 4 p.m. in Okey Patteson Auditorium. Michael Kolodney, who chairs the Department of Dermatology, has developed a smartphone app to cultivate that intuition in medical students sooner. An initial study suggests that the app, called Skinder, may improve how accurately medical students diagnose melanomas. The study’s findings have been published in “JAMA Dermatology.”
