Vinod Kulathumani, associate professor of computer science and electrical engineering, is part of a research team that has been selected as a finalist for the R&D 100 Award. The award, known as the “Oscars of Innovation,” honor the top 100 proven technological advances of the past year as determined by a panel selected by “R&D Magazine.”

Kim Innes, an epidemiology professor from the School of Public Health, and her team are studying the potential benefits of a simple meditation or music listening practice for improving memory and cognitive functioning, as well as mood, sleep and quality of life in adults with subjective cognitive decline, or SCD.
