A West Virginia University researcher has found that sexism is still pervasive among agriculture faculty in spite of gains made in the last 15 years. Haley Rosson, assistant professor of agriculture in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design and Extension education, said behaviors include toxic work environments, unhealthy competition, inappropriate interactions and policy violations.

Just as a miniscule cup of espresso can hype you up more than a whole mug of coffee, a single exposure to fentanyl can get a user vastly higher than injecting the same volume of heroin. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says fentanyl is 50 times stronger than heroin.
The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience is an eight-week summer undergraduate research experience for students interested in careers in research or graduate school within their disciplines.The selected students receive a stipend and are expected to research full-time for those eight weeks.

West Virginia University’s Office of the Provost has announced the recipients of the 2019 Faculty Award for Distinction in Mentoring Undergraduates in Research, expanded this year to honor faculty members in four categories: behavioral and social sciences, biosciences and health sciences, humanities and the arts, and physical sciences and technology.
