As a high school junior, Howard Ticker combined his passion for sports with an interest in business to guide his college selection process. Growing up, he had followed Mountaineer football, paying special attention to the Pat White Era, (former WVU quarterback who played all four seasons, 2005-2008, with the Mountaineers, becoming the first QB to finish 4-0 in bowl games, including two BCS wins in the 2006 Sugar and 2008 Fiesta Bowls).

“Dance Now!” is an annual dance concert choreographed by students, faculty and guest artists. The performance gives WVU students the opportunity to hone their performance abilities in a professional environment while learning about collaboration between performer, choreographer and designer. “Dance Now!” will take the stage in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre at the Creative Arts Center Feb. 28-March 1 at 7:30 p.m. and March 2 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available on campus at the Mountainlair and Creative Arts Center Box Office locations and online at http://ticketmaster.com.

WVU will take a different approach to studying ways to solve the universal issue of climate change by offering People vs. the Planet: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Climate this fall. Taught by Andrea Soccorsi, the course will explore the basic assumptions about climate change and investigate its human cost through the lens of multiple disciplines in an attempt to synthesize solutions from diverse perspectives.
