A second-year School of Dentistry student will present research at the Academy of General Dentistry conference this summer. Bailey Hollihan, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, applied and was accepted to present at the conference in Uncasville, Connecticut. The annual scientific session is an advanced hands-on education opportunity into clinical and practice management.

Evan MacCarthy, assistant professor of musicology in the School of Music, has been named a recipient of the 2019–20 Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome.
WVCTSI’s Clinical Trials Toolkit Series will host a special webinar on FDA inspections Friday (April 26). Ellen Liedel-Sargent, senior director of consulting, and Robert Romanchuk, IRB chair, both with Advarra, will present “Preparing For and Responding to an FDA Inspection” from noon to 1 p.m. in room 201 of the WVU health sciences Center Erma Byrd Biomedical Research Building.
