Potomac State College is participating in the West Virginia Invests Grant Program, a state-funded financial aid program designed to cover the cost of basic tuition and fees for certificate and associate degree programs in high-demand fields for qualifying West Virginia residents. This is the “free community college” legislation passed by the West Virginia Legislature during the 2019 legislative session.

The Friday Adapted Physical Education Program is a CPASS initiative that provides weekly physical activity programming for school-aged children with disabilities. Dustin and Damon Casseday gave a generous donation to the program in April, after Dustin began a country program instructed by CPASS professor Andrea Taliaferro.
The Veterans Advocacy Law Clinic at WVU supports the legal needs of veterans related to their military service or return to civilian life. Under faculty supervision, law students in the clinic represent veterans in litigation before administrative agencies and courts on benefits, discharge upgrades, employment claims and other civil matters.
Neil Epstein has been named the head men’s basketball coach at West Virginia University Potomac State College. Epstein arrives at Potomac State after most recently serving as assistant coach at Southern Vermont College.
The University’s chapter of the Collegiate Horsemen’s Association recently raised $800 for equine disaster relief and captured first place in the American Collegiate Horsemen’s Association inaugural philanthropy challenge.
