Two Reed College of Media students are dedicating their class time to learn how to generate positive social change through their respective undergraduate programs. The graduate-level Advocacy and Public Interest Communication program merges various academic fields’ science-based insights about strategic communication for sustained behavioral change into one degree.
With more than 15,000 miles traveled in just two weeks, College of Media and John Chambers College of Business and Economics students immersed themselves in the cultures, media industries and technologies of Tokyo, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea.

This is a two track event July 26 for new students and parents. New students will meet one-on-one with their student success advisor to select and register for their Fall classes. Parents will become familiarized with campus programs and services.
This summer, 25 WVU Law students are practicing public interest law across West Virginia. As Public Interest Advocates Summer Fellows, these students are working in full-time, paid positions for 10 weeks serving the poor, the elderly, children, and victims of domestic violence, among others.
