Jared Horan was recently admitted into the sport management graduate program; however, life threw him a curveball, or, more accurately, a well-aimed puck. After being accepted into the program, Horan was offered a position with the Wheeling Nailers, the minor league affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He decided he had to accept the sales position opportunity and launch his career within the sports industry.
The Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design is now accepting pre-orders for Asian pears and two varieties of apples.
The Art Museum of WVU is seeking its next class of docents. Volunteer docents give tours of the museum’s exhibitions to a variety of audiences from prekindergarten to adults. Without them, the museum would not be able to serve the thousands of visitors who come as part of groups throughout the year.
The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics is offering a community language program.
PSC Professors Donna Ballard and Tom Sydow will explore and present the basic knowledge and skills associated with the home production of wines and beers as participants have fun learning the fundamentals of fermentation, the availability of grapes and other fruits, and the difference between wine, lagers and ales.
