Buffalo Wild Wings will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross April 17 from 12:30-6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, Suncrest Towne Center Plaza. In addition to donors, volunteers are also needed to work the blood drive. Volunteers will earn the amount of time worked.

Students, staff and faculty will pack thousands of meals as part of annual Global Youth Service Day Saturday (April 13) to be distributed throughout Monongalia County in partnership with the Family Resource Network of the United Way. The event will be held at the Rec Center Saturday from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Gene Cilento, the inaugural Glen H. Hiner Dean in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, will step down from the administrative position he has held at West Virginia University for 19 years, effective June 30. An interim dean of the College will be announced this spring.
The Teaching and Learning Commons is again offering grants (up to $2,000 each) to faculty who want to integrate an emerging educational technology in the classroom or adapt an existing technology in an innovative way to enhance student learning.
All technology purchases made outside of Mountaineer Marketplace Catalogs (Apple and Dell) must be reviewed using the IT Purchase Request form before a transaction is completed. This long-standing requirement applies to software, hardware and consulting services. The term “software” includes services such as Survey Monkey and other online tools.
