The Office of Interprofessional Education will host the IPE Month Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today (April 1) in the Health Sciences Center Pylons Commons. The event brings together students, faculty and staff from across WVU Health Sciences schools to promote collaboration across disciplines, share knowledge and engage with the campus and surrounding community.
Doctoral student Shannay Rawal is part of a team of WVU engineers partnering with poultry farmers in the state’s Eastern Panhandle to find practical solutions for dealing with poultry manure and other forms of livestock litter in a way that’s environmentally friendly and economically viable.
The baseball team is set for two midweek games, starting on the road at 6 p.m. tonight (April 1) at Ohio State before a home game at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 2) against Pitt in the first edition of the Backyard Brawl this season.
The rowing team opened its spring season this past weekend as a split squad, with four boats competing in the Sarasota 2K in Sarasota, Florida, and two boats participating in a race against Robert Morris in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Freshman Joy Naukot with the track and field team set a University 10,000-meter record with a time of 32:21.84 while crossing the finish line in second place at the Raleigh Relays March 28 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
