The WVU School of Nursing and The John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University created the first off-campus dual master's degree program to give nurses the skills and knowledge to serve as a nurse leader. Graduates of the MSN (Executive Focus) and MBA program can work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practice, nonprofit organizations and public sectors.

Art Jacknowitz, professor emeritus and tireless supporter of the University, has passed away following a valiant battle with cancer; he was 75-years-old.
The Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering in the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources will host its annual Senior Capstone Expo Friday (April 26) from noon to 2 p.m. in the Advanced Engineering Research Building. The expo will feature projects centering around the theme of aging in place.

The West Virginia University Potomac State College Athletic Hall of Fame committee will hold its 32nd annual awards dinner Thursday (April 25) at which time they will induct Conrad Carney (Class of 1983) and Jacke Healey (Class of 2008), into the PSC Athletic Hall of Fame. Current sophomore athletes will also be recognized at this time.
