We are conducting a research study on the use of electronic cigarettes and the lung diseases as well as the use of imported drugs in the U.S. for the treatment of diabetes.
Research
Even before West Virginia reported its first case of the novel coronavirus, Dr. Sally Hodder and her team recognized the need for a COVID-19 patient data registry.
WVU Medicine pediatric and adult allergist and immunologist Brian Peppers has received Investigational New Drug approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the experimental treatment of COVID-19 using convalescent donor plasma. This is the first FDA approved Investigational New Drug trial for COVID-19 immunotherapy to include pediatric patients.
For the third year in a row, West Virginia University is the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Outstanding Student Chapter of the Year.
This registry contains detailed information on patients who were tested for COVID-19 in the WVU Medicine system, encompassing all patients with both positive and negative results.
All full board IRB submissions must be received 14 days in advance of scheduled meetings. This includes continuing reviews.
