West Virginia University Police issued a Community Notice Saturday (April 19) after fast-moving storms knocked out power service throughout the Morgantown area.

On April 17, Gov. Patrick Morrisey issued a proclamation declaring an official half-day holiday for state employees on Friday (April 18). Since WVU already observed April 18 as a holiday, the University has modified its holiday calendar to include an additional 3.75 hour “floating” holiday (pro-rated by FTE) for leave-eligible employees.
To further support the safety and well-being of youth participating in University-affiliated programs, the Division of Campus Engagement and Compliance has updated program policies and guidelines designed to standardize best practices in youth protection. Youth program directors are encouraged to attend an overview training session.
This introductory session, recommended prior to attending other strengths-focused workshops, will help faculty and staff lay the foundation for CliftonStrengths from noon to 1 p.m. April 28 on Zoom.
