Michael J. Florio, Nitin N. Kumbhani, Mary Ellen Mazey and Morris Morrison will be inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Alumni in recognition of their groundbreaking achievements in business, communications and education. The event will start at 5 p.m. Friday (Jan. 30) at the Erickson Alumni Center.
OLLI at WVU and the WVU Committee of Retired Faculty will host Chancellor and Executive Dean for Health Sciences Dr. Clay Marsh as he presents “Quantifying Health: Data, Discovery and the Path to Longevity” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 4).
Participants in the “Revisioning How We Teach Writing and Research in the Age of AI” Faculty Learning Community will be encouraged to explore foundational practices in writing and research instruction and examine those practices in the context of GenAI from noon to 1 p.m. on select Fridays beginning Feb. 13 on Zoom.
Beginning Feb. 10, the Morris L. Hayhurst LaunchLab will partner with the West Virginia Small Business Development Center to offer startup support sessions, a series of low-barrier, drop-in opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
