Matthew Valenti, professor and interim chair of the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University, has been selected as the Raymond J. Lane Chair of the Department, effective July 1.

Jeremy Gunn, a 2014 WVU Law graduate, has been selected a Top "40 Under 40" Black Lawyer in Pennsylvania by the National Black Lawyers.
A group of CPASS athletic coaching education students used remote teaching and learning techniques to reach out to Monongalia County children who would normally participate in the college’s Friday Program group. The CPASS students created a unique distance learning environment for students with disabilities to help them keep active during COVID-19.
The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences has announced the first cohort of Woodburn Fellowship recipients, whose two-year terms start in August. The newly established fellowship program is one of the College’s highest honors for faculty.
