As the Chambers College and Vantage Ventures, the Statler College and the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute begin the work of helping to develop the Virgin Hyperloop Certification Center, President Gee is using that collaboration as a springboard that will benefit both WVU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as West Virginia in myriad ways.

The West Virginia Social Survey focuses on the most pressing challenges faced by West Virginia residents. It will produce state-specific reports on issues like internet access, the economy, health, crime, volunteering, religion and more, which can help inform policymakers.

The Appalachian Gerontology Experiences: Advancing Diversity in Aging Research Scholars Program invites faculty, staff and students to register and attend a Virtual Open House on Monday (Nov. 16) from 4-5 p.m. to learn more about this newly-funded program which prepares underrepresented students in MSTEM fields for a future career in health or research.

In an ongoing effort to increase the proportion of people who use masks correctly, the School of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported the findings for week four in their seven-week mask observation study that began Oct. 5.

The Office of Undergraduate Research will host its third Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. The virtual event is an opportunity for undergraduate students participating in research programs at WVU (RAP, EXCEL, Beckman) to present their research and creative efforts.
