Each year, the Chambers College awards about $462,000 to students via 100-plus scholarships made possible thanks to the generous support of alumni and friends. Those scholarship dollars have become particularly important – and meaningful to students – amid the challenges of COVID-19.

More than 7,500 K-12 students have visited the Art Museum of WVU museum and each and every one has interacted with the museum’s unsung heroes, our team of treasured docents.

Courtney Shimek, who will join the Department of Curriculum and Instruction/Literacy Studies this fall as an assistant professor in literacy education, studies the convergence of reading and play, specifically as it relates to young children’s interactions with non-fiction books.
