West Virginia University’s baseball team is being recognized with the 2021-22 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack, an announcement from the American Baseball Coaches Association.

West Virginia University Director of Athletics and Associate Vice President Shane Lyons is introducing Natasha Oakes as the Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator for the Mountaineers. Oakes will serve on Lyons' senior staff and oversee the department's areas of sport governance, gender equity and Title IX initiatives.

Two members of the West Virginia University men's swimming and diving team — senior David Snider and junior Justin Heimes — will be part of USA Swimming's 2022 Phillips 66 U.S. National Championships from July 26-30 in Irvine, California.

A native of Noida, India, Vishnu Pandian joins West Virginia University’s rifle team after a decorated junior career in which he shot for the Ahlcon International School and his club team, Topgun Sports Academy, in Delhi, India.

PK tournament  

Rip City Management has announced the brackets for the 2022 Phil Knight Legacy. The multi-team tournament will feature eight men's teams and four women's teams competing during ESPN's annual Feast Week, Nov. 24–27.
