Ihsan Berk Tulu, assistant professor of mining engineering in the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, will develop mine-specific, geology-dependent pillar and standing support design tools that will be immediately available to the mining industry thanks to a $450,000 award from the Alpha Foundation.

WVU and its Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will welcome fans back to Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium for the first time this fall on Friday, Oct. 30, when the Mountaineer women's soccer team plays host to Kansas.

Milan Puskar Stadium will operate at 25% capacity as part of the health, safety and wellness measures being implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gates and parking lots open at 10 a.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN2 at noon.
