The School of Nursing Beth Nass Tallman Memorial Scholarship has been created to help undergraduate students pre-majoring or majoring in the School of Nursing. This scholarship honors Tallman, a 2009 graduate of the School of Nursing who worked at WVU Medicine for nearly 13 years.
Dr. Ramesh Daggubati will speak as part of the Medicine Grand Rounds on Friday (July 23) at 8 a.m. This presentation titled " New Approaches to Atherosclerosis Heart Disease" will take place over Zoom and in person at the Fukushima Auditorium, Room 1901.
The Teaching Scholars Program via Zoom is set for September 2021 through May 2022. The program focuses on developing educational theories/technologies as well as promoting educational skills, critical thinking and innovative approaches among WVU Health Sciences Center faculty.
The Department of Anesthesiology has named Dr. Edward Nemergut as the new department chair, effective Oct. 18. He joins WVU from the University of Virginia where he served as the Frederic A. Berry Professor of Anesthesiology and a professor of neurosurgery, as well as a vice-chair in the Department of Anesthesiology.
WVU’s Health Sciences & Technology Academy is holding virtual summer camps to help empower high school students in rural West Virginia and to encourage them to take their health into their own hands by identifying healthy food options, preparing healthy meals and being aware of the natural and wholesome options.
