In honor of the late Dr. David Wilks, who led the foundation of STEPS—Simulation Training and Education for Patient Safety at WVU Health Sciences—the David H. Wilks Memorial Award for Excellence in Simulation has been established. The objective of the award is to acknowledge the dedication of faculty who set high standards in teaching and learning at STEPS.

The WVU Critical Care and Trauma Institute Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital has again been verified as a Level I Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center by the Verification Review Committee, an ad hoc committee of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. This achievement recognizes the trauma center's dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients.
WVU Radiology Resident Dr. Dhairya A Lakhani has been selected to join the RadioGraphics Review Panelist position. As a panelist, he will have an impactful role in evaluating and recommending materials that will fill the pages of the 2021-22 issues of the Journal.
