Research

Jackie Arnold and Abigail Jones

Undergraduate researchers at WVU will spend the next year pursuing projects in enzymes and fungi— research that could ultimately help people with chronic diseases and develop new pharmaceuticals. Jackie Arnold and Abigail Jones got involved in research during their freshmen years.

Impact Challenge

Through a nearly $50,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission’s Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization Initiative, a team from WVU Extension Service, Chambers College of Business & Economics, Morris L. Hayhurst LaunchLab and the West Virginia Public Education Collaborative is developing a strategic plan to encourage and support youth entrepreneurship in West Virginia.

West Virginia University Libraries will host the Graduate Student Immersion Program, an intensive three-day workshop designed to assist graduate students through their research, from Jan. 4-6, 2022. The program focuses on addressing participants’ research challenges and aims to build community both within and across disciplines.
