Julia Fraustino, assistant professor in the WVU Reed College of Media, and Daniel Totzkay, assistant professor in the WVU Eberly College of Arts and Sciences Department of Communication Studies, were awarded the Civilian Service Commendation Medal in recognition of “outstanding support during the COVID-19 pandemic response” and a “commitment to excellence and service [that] was instrumental for mission readiness and accomplishment.”

Encourage students to submit abstracts to the Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium, a campus-wide event poster symposium that showcases fall research and creative efforts. Students are invited to present posters, oral presentations, performances (music, film, dance, theatre) and visual arts.
The Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies has announced Glen Jackson, a Ming Hsieh Distinguished Professor of Forensic and Investigative Science, as the 2021 FACSS Innovation Award recipient. Jackson also holds a joint appointment in the Department of Chemistry.
