Dr. Volkow  

The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute is honored to host a webinar presentation with Dr. Nora D. Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse and research psychiatrist, today (Nov. 15) at 10 a.m. Volkow will talk about the national opioid crisis with a focus on challenges posed by the drug fentanyl with a special introduction from Senator Shelley Moore Capito.

NCUR  

The Council on Undergraduate Research is excited to announce the next National Conference on Undergraduate Research. While the conference will be held virtually April 4-8, CUR has been working diligently to prepare an amazing, interactive and meaningful experience for all students and mentors. The deadline to submit an abstract is Nov. 19.

Winnebago window  

A 39-foot customized Winnebago will serve as a medical clinic on wheels in even the most hard-to-reach areas of the state. By customizing and deploying a new mobile clinical trials unit, the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute, housed at WVU, will bring important clinical trials and follow-up visits to rural residents, thanks to the aid of a $350,000 grant awarded by the National Institutes of Health.
