A preview screening event with the filmmaker of a new feature documentary film, “Tipping the Pain Scale,” will take place Thursday, Dec. 9, in the Health Sciences Center Okey Patteson Auditorium. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the screening will start at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Norman Ferrari was named chief academic officer for medical education for West Virginia University’s Doctorate of Medicine program. In this role, Dr. Ferrari will maintain his responsibilities for undergraduate physician medical education programs, including the medical degree admissions process, development and implementation of curriculum, student affairs, graduate medical education, continuing education and accreditation activities.
