The Department of Anesthesiology has named Dr. Edward Nemergut as the new department chair, effective Oct. 18. He joins WVU from the University of Virginia where he served as the Frederic A. Berry Professor of Anesthesiology and a professor of neurosurgery, as well as a vice-chair in the Department of Anesthesiology.

For the past seven months, the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute has helped ramp up COVID-19 testing throughout the state via mobile vans and by focusing on communities of color.

WVU families with children are invited to join the Mountaineer KidZone teachers to share stories, play games and make a craft, along with other activities, during a virtual family-fun camping trip on July 26 from 6-7 p.m.
